Davide Larini will remain with PHM Racing for his second year in the Euro 4 and Italian Formula 4 championships.
The 16-year-old Italian, who is the son of former Formula 1 driver Nicola, joined the German team for the final two Italian F4 rounds of 2023 then drove for them again in the final two rounds of the 2024 F4 United Arab Emirates season last month.
“I am stoked to be part of the PHM Racing campaign for the 2024 season in Italian F4 and Euro 4,” said Larini.
“We share very important goals that hinge on a well designed and thought out program. My target is to be able to give plenty of satisfactions to people who believe in me as the team and those who support me do.”
PHM’s F4 team manager Mikhail Aleshin added: “Happy to have a strong and experienced driver in the PHM team like Davide. That will be his second year in F4, he was very quick at the tests and for sure will be very fast and competitive over the year.”
Larini had begun his rookie season in single-seater racing last year with AKM Motorsport, and had four points-free Italian F4 rounds and two points-free Euro 4 rounds with the Italian team before leaving them. His best result was a 14th, achieved in his fourth race in Italian F4.
In his two outings with PHM he finished no higher than 15th, consigning him to 32nd in the standings, and a 16th place was his best F4 UAE result.
Before stepping up to cars, Larini was an Italian Karting Championship regular. In 2021 he was 15th in the X30 Junior standings and topped the ROK Junior points table but was not given the title due to only contesting one of the three rounds. He was then ROK Senior runner-up in 2022.
