Students at Youngsville Elementary School have been jump roping to raise funds for the American Heart Association.

Ronda Darling, health and physical education teacher, said her classes again participated in the American Heart Association’s Kids Challenge Jump Rope for Heart challenge.

“The School raised $1,600.00 this year,” Darling said. “Youngsville Elementary School has participated in Jump Rope for Heart for the past eight years.”

“Youngsville has raised a total of $21,704.20 over these years to support the American Heart Association’s life-saving mission,” she added.

“Building on key learnings from approximately 45 years in America’s schools, the Kids Heart Challenge focuses on whole body wellness, helping students improve their own health and better their character while raising life-saving donations for the American Heart Association to help kids facing heart-health issues,” according to the American Heart Association.
