The worst performers of the session were Dow Inc (NYSE:), which fell 2.18% or 1.21 points to trade at 54.23 at the close. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:) declined 2.15% or 4.61 points to end at 209.68 and Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:) was down 0.72% or 0.45 points to 62.18.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Gilead Sciences Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 8.46% to 68.49, Accenture plc (NYSE:) which was up 7.29% to settle at 306.16 and EPAM Systems Inc (NYSE:) which gained 6.78% to close at 181.80.
The worst performers were Jabil Circuit Inc (NYSE:) which was down 11.44% to 111.79 in late trade, Enphase Energy Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 8.77% to settle at 108.57 and Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc (NYSE:) which was down 6.22% to 3,214.42 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Bluejay Diagnostics Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 818.76% to 3.37, Griid Infrastructure Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 98.21% to settle at 1.11 and Zapp Electric Vehicles Group Ltd (NASDAQ:) which gained 73.53% to close at 2.36.
The worst performers were Kaival Brands Innovations Group Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 36.22% to 2.87 in late trade, Mustang Bio Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 34.07% to settle at 0.56 and Sonnet Biotherapeutics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 32.03% to 1.04 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1426 to 1419 and 94 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1893 fell and 1450 advanced, while 153 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonnet Biotherapeutics Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) fell to 5-year lows; down 32.03% or 0.49 to 1.04.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 105.30.
