LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A week from Monday, you can help be part of the push to help raise 10 thousand dollars in 90 minutes to help medically fragile children in our community.
Mondays Dark is a charity organization that raises ten thousand dollars every other Monday for local non profits. It started more than a decade ago.
Producer Dai Richards said they’ve never not written a check and they’re very proud of that. It’s Vegas’ night to give back with just a 20 to 50 dollar donation to a very fun variety show.
“In the 90 minutes we have a silent auction, raffle, eight performers, interviews, all hosted by Mark Shunock,” Richards explained. “It’s a lot of organization, a big team and a lot of volunteers.”
There is currently a waiting list of more than 350 charities. The Little Miss Hannah Foundation was chosen, and is honored to be featured Monday, July 15th.
“We would love for community to come out and support us,” The organization’s Executive Director and mother to a medically fragile child Jenny Krshul said.
The foundation has an annual run to raise funds for children, many of whom are diagnosed with rare, life-limiting conditions. Four times a year, they grant families specialized equipment that typically isn’t covered by insurance.
,”Our foundation is growing every year, and we’re just so happy to be meeting new families,” Krshul said. “All families granted that previous quarter come pick up their adaptive, seating devices and what not, it’s a great chance for us to connect with them.”
Richards is so happy the foundation is being profiled.
“I think it’s one of those things, I’m a father, and I think children need to be helped in so many different ways, particularly with a charity like this, and wonderful things they do and special children they look after. It really hits home how hard some people have it, and how their normal days aren’t as easy as yours.”
Mondays dark has raised more than $1.8 million for over 180 local organizations. The fundraising concert for Little Miss Hannah foundation is July 15th, starting at 8 p.m.
