An Odebolt woman has won a top Iowa Lottery Prize.
Paula Miller won a 100 thousand dollar prize in the lottery’s “$100,000 Mega Crossword” scratch game. Miller purchased her winning ticket at the Casey’s store in Ida Grove.
“I went to Casey’s in Ida Grove, picked up a couple pizzas and decided to play some scratch tickets,” Miller said. “I started scratching and the more letters I got, the more words I got, I couldn’t believe, it was a $100,000 winner! I had to have my roommate check it over,” Miller said. “”Then we both went, ‘woo hoo!’”
She claimed her prize Thursday at the lottery’s regional office in Storm Lake. The 60-year-old Miller said she plans to buy a TV, new clothes, and pay off some bills.
The “$100,000 Mega Crossword” game is a ten-dollar scratch game that features 46 top prizes of 100 thousand dollars, and 92 prizes of ten thousand dollars.
