MEDINA, Ohio – As citizens prepare to head to the polls in November, Finance Director Keith Dirham wants to remind the public that the city will have a proposed tax levy will be on the Nov. 5 ballot.

“This is a property tax renewal levy for EMS,” Dirham said during an Aug. 26 council meeting. “The way this works is that our local ambulance service, known as the Medina Life Support Team is a partnership between the city, the hospital, Medina Township and Montville Township. Since the 1970s, the city has paid for its portion of the service through property tax levies.”
