Elks raise funds for Human Development centers

Elks Lodge 380 recently held a combined live and silent auction to benefit the lodge’s “Piggy Bank Fund,” which supports projects at the Human Development centers in Arkansas.

The Elks have provided funds to purchase park benches, furnish a “canteen recreation room,” aviary, gazebo, wheelchair-accessible swing set, and technical center, among other projects, according to a news release.

Lodge 380 members also annually provide a picnic at the Arkadelphia Human Development Center for the residents and staff, for which members plan, purchase, deliver, prepare and serve food for approximately 200 people. This year’s event will be on Oct. 25.

For more information, visit Elks.org or call the lodge at 501-525-1020.
