The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland has launched the Dunmore Community Benefit Fund to local community projects that are planned and run for the benefit of the local population and are within 10 miles of the windfarm.
Areas
- The fund welcomes applications from constituted community and voluntary groups that address the following areas:
- Community cohesion and engagement;
- Energy efficiency and sustainability;
- Social, cultural or sporting benefit for the local community;
- Training and education;
- Environmental benefit;
- Economic benefit.

- Grant size: Up to £2,500
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant organisations must be located within the 10-mile radius (straight-line measurement).
- New groups are eligible to apply for the majority of the programmes.
Ineligibility Criteria
- In line with most funded programmes the Foundation will not fund the following:
- Party political activity
- Advancement of religion, which includes organisations who have a purpose to advance religion
- Trips abroad
- Individuals (unless an individual bursary programme)
- Replacement of statutory funding
- Projects that have already started
- Groups who have not complied with previous monitoring requirements
