State is most preferred destination for investments in India: CM Devendra Fadnavis | Pune News

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asserted that the state remains the most “preferred destination” for investments in India, citing the state’s business-friendly policies like the recently launched Maitri-Portal and other ease of doing business reforms. Speaking at the inauguration of Havmor Ice-cream’s production plant by Lotte Group in Pune’s Talegaon on Thursday, he highlighted Maharashtra’s proactive approach in attracting global investors.

“Our industries department was at the forefront of attracting this investment and ensured a seamless experience for Lotte. Recently, we rolled out a new version of the Maitri Portal, which is an end-to-end solution for all potential investors. This single-window system provides time-bound approvals, including land allotments, taking our ease of doing business efforts to the next level,” Fadnavis said.

Emphasising on Maharashtra’s dominance in India’s investment landscape, he stated: “Maharashtra accounts for around 35 per cent of India’s FDI and attracts the largest share of investments coming into the country. At the recent Davos summit, Maharashtra secured investment commitments worth $190 billion (Rs 16 lakh crore), setting a new record.”

The event was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Water Resources Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, South Korea’s Ambassador to India Seong Ho Lee, Lotte Group chairman Dong Bin Shin, Lotte Wellfood CEO Paul Yi, and Havmor Ice Cream Managing Director Komal Anand.
