SAN ANTONIO – A woman was shot multiple times, and a male was stabbed in the head during a disturbance at a West Side dollar store, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. Monday in the 4800 block of West Commerce Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman in her 20s who had been shot four times in the stomach, police said.
SAPD said the woman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers received another call shortly after responding to the scene about a male who was stabbed in the head, police said.
SAPD was unsure whether the male was the aggressor or a potential victim of the disturbance, but they confirmed his involvement in the incident.
The male was taken to a hospital by a family member, according to police. His condition is currently unknown.
Detectives are currently on the scene looking through surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
Officers did not immediately know what prompted the disturbance.
