No, you didn’t read that wrong. Thomas Müller and company will be donning pink shirts at the European Championship.

The year is 2024. Argentina are world champions, 10 years after Germany conquered the world by beating them in the final in Brazil. Germany is now 10 years removed from a major trophy. Instead of wearing their iconic green away kit, they are opting (reportedly) for a pink and purple shirt.
Brazil, Italy, and England fans are mocking Die Mannschaft’s downfall, and for good reason. The only thing worse than Germany’s recent run of results is the leaked away kit. There have been reports of this away shirt for months now, but even with some modifications, all leaks indicate a bright pink and purple theme.
This comes at a curious time as the traditional green away kit from Germany hasn’t been used since 2018, almost the perfect time for a comeback. It seems as though the bright kit is inevitable at this point. Fans will be forced to embrace and support the new German vision. While it is difficult to not be pessimistic about this upcoming tournament, it is also the nation’s best chance to prove itself again.
