Spain looks to continue its strong start at the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Championship on Monday when it goes up against winless Belgium.
Spain entered this year’s Euros as heavy favorites, especially since they won the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. With a plethora of talent and an experienced manager, La Roja is feeling very confident. That was shown in the team’s first match against border rival Portugal on Thursday, where Spain hounded its opponent. Esther Gonzalez led the charge with a couple of goals, powering the Spanish side to a convincing 5-0 win.

Belgium found itself in a tight battle against a strong Italian squad last Thursday. Unfortunately, a goal allowed late in the first half ended up being the Belgians’ undoing, as they lost 1-0.
