Federal funds provide more free meals for Burkburnett students


BURKBURNETT (KFDX/KJTL) — Due to funding through the Texas Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture, more Burkburnett Independent School District students will have access to free meals.

According to a post from Burkburnett ISD, students who qualify for reduced-price meals will now receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost.

“This is such a blessing for our Bulldog families and will help ensure our kids get the healthy nutrition they need to succeed in school!!” the post read.

To apply for free and reduced meals through Burkburnett ISD, fill out the application.
