We love a good Halloween DIY craft, especially when it’s easy on the budget. And it doesn’t get much better than when you can grab everything you need right at Dollar Tree! Creator Emma Villaneda (@thecraftedstudioco) recently shared a project that has us running to our local store to grab supplies for the cutest serving bowl, perfect for handing out Halloween treats.
In her step-by-step video, Emma shows how to make a skeleton-in-the-bathtub candy holder. All you need is a small skeleton, a basket to act as the tub, a cloth for the towel, a hot glue gun, and, of course, plenty of candy to fill it up. The finished piece is not only adorable, but it’s also a fun, festive way to serve candy at a Halloween party or to trick-or-treaters at your door!
This is such a fun idea! Not only is it a cute serving bowl, but it would be a great Halloween-themed gift, too! Commenter @Lolo had another great way to use it, “‘Can’t wait to make for my desk at work!”

Commenter Reactions to the DIY Skeleton in the Bathtub Candy Dish
Emma’s idea was an instant hit, and people left more than 700 comments, some of them featuring pictures of their own skeleton in the bath candy dishes. @Bubblieone shared, “This is the CUTEST Halloween DIY I’ve ever seen. I will be trying this on my own.” So will we!
One commenter complained about how pricey it might be to fill the tub with candy, but Dollar Tree has a huge selection of treats, so stocking it up can actually be pretty affordable.
Another commenter shared, “I’m making this for my kids!” It’s a cute way to wish kids, friends, and co-workers a happy Halloween for sure!
