The Trussville Witches Ride, Inc., a nonprofit organization, recently held its annual charity bike ride through the historic Cahaba Homestead Village District.
This year’s event supported 3-year-old Olivia Ulbricht, who recently underwent a heart transplant. Olivia spent nearly a year at Children’s of Alabama awaiting the transplant and is now thriving post-surgery. However, her family continues to face significant medical expenses. The funds raised during the ride will help alleviate these financial burdens and support Olivia’s ongoing recovery.
Known for its festive atmosphere and impactful generosity, the Trussville Witches Ride has raised tens of thousands of dollars in past events for families in need. The community nominates beneficiaries, and the Board selects the nominee with the most urgent needs.
This year’s emcee was ABC 33/40 Chief Meteorologist James Spann.
