Police say suspect fled on foot before escaping in getaway car
TEMPERANCE, Mich. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that took place Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Dollar General store located at 8220 Lewis Avenue in Temperance.
According to police, around 8:20 p.m., a man dressed all in black with a mask walked into the store.
He forced the employees behind the counter and demanded cash from the register.
After grabbing an undisclosed amount of money, he ran off heading south.
Police arrived at the store quickly and tracked the suspect for a few hundred yards. It’s believed he got into a waiting car and drove away.
