National Bank lowers official dollar and euro rates | Ukraine news


The National Bank of Ukraine set the official dollar at 43.88 UAH and the euro at 51.49 UAH for April 23. These drops reflect a modest strengthening of the hryvnia and underline the importance of monitoring currency trends ahead of budget planning.

The dollar has officially weakened by 23 kopecks, and the euro by 42 kopecks.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on Thursday, April 23, the official exchange rates are:

1 U.S. dollar costs 43.88 hryvnias, compared with 44.11 hryvnias as of April 22.

1 euro costs 51.49 hryvnias, compared with 51.91 hryvnias as of April 22.

In the draft state budget for 2026, the government sets the calculated average annual hryvnia-to-dollar rate at 45.6 hryvnias per dollar.

This development reflects the overall dynamics of the currency market: the hryvnia is strengthening against major currencies, as seen in current quotes.
