The Bad Axe Dollar General will close Oct. 15, according to a Facebook post by Assistant Store Manager Jason Osantowski.
Osantowksi wrote that the store’s owners were unhappy with its current location and are looking to rebuild in a new one. It’s unclear if the new location will also be in Bad Axe.
The store has already begun marking down products, starting at 10% and steadily increasing to 15% and 20%. According to a post from Osantowski, the products will be marked down to 25% off starting Sept. 15.
According to signs posted around the store, Dollar General is no longer accepting checks, only cash and cards. The store will continue to sell alcohol and tobacco products, but they will no be subject to any store-wide sales.
