BRANSON, Mo. — Silver Dollar City has announced the opening of the new Fire in the Hole roller coaster.
The park said the coaster’s grand opening celebration will start at 9:45 a.m. March 30 and will make a ceremonial trip down the tracks following a ribbon cutting and welcome from SDC Mayor Brad Thomas.
According to a release from the park, the $30 million ride is Silver Dollar City’s largest investment to date for a single attraction.
The new Fire in the Hole is housed in a five-story, climate-controlled building and includes immersive scenes, onboard audio and enhanced digital displays. Riders will travel the 1,512-foot-long track at 8 feet per second, making three drops and a final water splashdown.
SDC’s 2024 season begins March 9 just in time for Spring Break.
