Chrysalis Investments Ltd – Guernsey-based Investment company, with notable investments in Starling Bank Ltd and wefox Holding AG – Invests roughly GBP4 million in Smart Pension Ltd, a London-based pension and retirement platform. This comes after Chrysalis’s GBP2 million investment in Smart Pension in January. Chrysalis said that the combined GBP6 million investment will add around 3.7p to the company’s net asset value. After completing this investment, Chrysalis has GBP27.2 million of liquidity.
Nick Williamson and Richard Watts, co-portfolio managers at Chrysalis, say: “We are delighted to support Smart alongside its other key investors. As a result of this new investment, Smart is now even better placed to grow its master trust and platform business, and we look forward to supporting Smart on its journey towards profitability, with significant progress towards break-even expected over 2024.”
Current stock price: 89.41 pence per share, up 2.9% in London on Thursday.
