A structure has popped up on a busy area off Meridian Road.

1940 S. Meridian Road will be home to a new Dollar Tree. The store will sit between an existing liquor store and a Starbucks.

The project plans show a single-story building that will be about 9,720 square feet. The renderings of the building look like a typical Dollar Tree with earth tones and green accent colors.

A Dollar Store is planned for Meridian. Rendering: Via ALC Architecture.

“The east side of the building at the entrance will be stucco with a split-faced CMU (concrete masonry unit) wainscot. Pedestrian scale is achieved at the main building entry on the east building where windows, awnings, and various exterior finish transitions occur. Landscaping around the perimeter will influence a cohesive design,” the application letter said.

There will be standard and accessible parking on the east and north sides of the building.

This would be Dollar Tree’s third Meridian location with stores on Fairview Ave. and Linder Rd.
