Just a couple of weeks after the official introduction of Cadillac’s EV crossover in Europe, the new Cadillac Optiq has just received major recognition from Euro NCAP.

General Motors’ luxury brand announced that the new 2025 Cadillac Optiq has earned the highest possible safety rating from Euro NCAP, Europe’s leading independent safety testing organization. The 2025 Optiq achieved a five-star rating in the organization’s rigorous crash and safety tests, which have driven significant improvements in the safety design of new vehicles.

“At the company, safety is fundamental to everything we do. The Cadillac Optiq five-star Euro NCAP rating is a testament to our dedication to advanced engineering and intelligent design that puts people first,” said Vice President of Global Cadillac, John Roth. “As we grow in Europe, we remain focused on delivering vehicles that embody both exceptional safety and refined innovation and luxury,” he added.

The 2025 Cadillac Optiq earned top marks for adult occupant protection and child occupant protection, Euro NCAP citing “overall excellent performance in crash protection and well equipped with state-of-the-art crash avoidance technology.” These results place the Optiq among the best-performing vehicles in its segment from a crash safety standpoint, ahead of other compact electric crossovers currently available in Europe.

Among the most notable safety features of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq are its high structural integrity body and advanced occupant protection, a stable passenger compartment in offset frontal crash tests, and top scores in side impact tests, among others. It also boasts robust autonomous emergency braking, an interior motion sensor, and the standard Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system.

The new Cadillac Optiq is now available for pre-order at official Cadillac dealerships and websites in France, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland – the first European countries where Cadillac has an official presence and representation with its new all-electric vehicle strategy. Deliveries are expected to begin early next year, specifically in February.
