A popular brand of men’s razors is relocating its headquarters from California to Durham.
Dollar Shave Club, a direct-to-consumer brand known for its mail-ordered grooming products, announced that it is opening its doors on Tuesday at the historic American Tobacco Campus.
According to the media release, the company made the decision to reestablish its roots in Durham as part of its commitment to fostering innovation and attracting talent in the area. The company said that Durham’s “youthful spirit, creative energy and irreverence” mirrors the Dollar Shave Club brand.
Taking place from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, the opening ceremony of the new 17,500-square-foot headquarters will be celebrated alongside a day of activities at the ATC.
The public and media will get to hear from CEO Larry Bodner as he breaks down this exciting move for the disruptive men’s products brand.
According to Bodner’s LinkedIn, he has been in the position of CEO for a little less than two years, succeeding Jason Goldberger who was CEO for three years and headed the sale of the company to Nexus Capital in 2023.
Bodner is familiar with the area, as he was a 1986 graduate from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
