ENGLAND will take on Spain once again as they look to secure qualification for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
The two sides met in the final of the 2023 tournament, where the Lionesses fell to a 1-0 loss and La Roja claimed their maiden title.
However, Sarina Wiegman and Co got revenge this summer by defeating the Spaniards on penalties to win Euro 2025 in dramatic fashion.
Having built up one of the most exciting and competitive rivalries on the international stage, England and Spain will meet again twice in 2026 as they seek automatic qualification for the next World Cup.
The nations have been drawn in Group A3, alongside Iceland and Ukraine.
Only one country out of the four will qualify automatically by topping the group.
Play-offs will then be used to determine who takes the remaining places.
Uefa has been allocated 11 spots in total for the 32-team tournament in 2027, with qualifiers taking place from March to June next year.
Scotland have been drawn with Belgium, Israel and Luxembourg in Group B4.
Wales are set to face the Czech Republic, Albania and Montenegro in Group B1, while Northern Ireland have been placed in Group B2 with Switzerland, Turkey and Malta.

The Republic of Ireland in Group A2 alongside the Netherlands, France and Poland.
Reacting to the draw, one person took to social media to write: “England vs Spain — the sequel nobody healed from.”
Another commented: “England Spain is like a love-hate story at this point.”
While a third joked: “I swear we never escape Spain – here we go again.”
The Lionesses next take on China and Ghana in friendlies at the end of the month.
