After losing their opening match against France, England knew that another loss against the Netherlands could see them knocked out of the tournament.
But the defending champions got off to a great start and didn’t have to wait long for their first goal.
Goalkeeper Hannah Hampton picked out Alessia Russo with a stunning ball, who slipped it to Lauren James.
The Chelsea forward then drilled the ball into the right corner from the edge of the box to put the Lionesses 1-0 ahead.
Just before half-time Georgia Stanway double England’s lead with a low and hard strike into the bottom corner of the goal.
In the second half, things got even better for England.
Lauren James fired in her second goal of the game, before Ella Toone added a fourth eight minutes later, meaning that England finished the game with a thumping 4-0 win over the Netherlands.
