Man arrested for Dollar General bomb threat


HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A man has been arrested for a bomb threat at a Dollar General store, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Roger Amos, Jr., 52, is being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center, charged with threat to bomb, on a $4,500 secured bond.

About 8 p.m. February 9, 2025, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a bomb threat at the store at 2662 Greensboro Road. Deputies found no explosive devices, and the store was deemed safe and has resumed normal operations, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a bomb threat reported at the same address Friday, February 7.
