GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Colorado Lottery confirmed to WesternSlopeNow that the Redlands Safeway off Broadway, sold a $2 million winning lottery ticket. However, the ticket’s gone unclaimed and the winner is still a mystery.
Conner Mors, who works at Safeway, tells WesternSlopeNow the winning Powerball ticket has been a hot topic of conversation at the store.
Barrett Kendall said he plays the lottery sometimes, but not regularly. If he were to win the lottery, he tells WesternSlopeNow he’d use the money to help pay his fiance’s tuition and give back to the community.
Like Kendall, Karen Townes said she’d like to give back and donate the winnings to children all over the world who need food and clothing.
Roy Powelson, a lottery pro, tells me he plays at least once a week and has even won as much as $200.
$2 million is a life-changing amount of money, so be sure to double-check those lottery tickets.
