The Justice Department has sent a letter to Elon Musk’s super PAC with a warning about Musk’s offer to give away a million dollars to people who pledge to support First and Second Amendment rights and are registered voters, according to a source familiar with the matter. The letter warns that the giveaway may be illegal. NBC News’ Laura Jarrett reports.
