North Dakota Dollar Trees Will No Longer Exist…Sort Of

The Dollar Trees of North Dakota may no longer exist. Well, sort of.

I’m sure you remember back in 2021 when dollar tree announced and be raising its prices from everything being a dollar to some things being $1.25.

Keep in mind, when I say dollar trees might not exist anymore doesn’t mean they’re gonna be closing, rather it means they’re not gonna be so true to their name.

According to Grocery Dive, Dollar Tree is planning on adding grocery products that cost over $1.25. In 2025 they plan to add food items that cost $3, $4, and $5 at select stores. I can’t say this change will take affect right away but it is something they’re working on, and they do plan to eventually do this at every store in the country over time.

According to Business Insider, they’ve already been testing the products at several different sites, and the business claims sales are going well. With that Dollar Tree customers should expect to see higher priced items at the store is moving forward.

Fun Fact: According to Business Quant, there are currently 35 Dollar Trees located in North Dakota.

Credit where credit is due

You have to give it to Dollar Tree; when all the other dollar stores were upping their prices to $5 & $10 products, Dollar Tree kept everything just a dollar. They held off longer than any other place, and I respect that.

Unfortunately, inflation has forced them to make some tough decisions.

Business insider says one of the main points about moving their prices up to five dollars is because they’re really is no such thing as a “Dollar store anymore.
