Authorities are seeking the public’s help to find the suspect in a 2023 shooting inside a Brockton store that left one man dead and another injured, Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said Thursday.
Luis Soto, 35, is wanted in connection to the double shooting at a Dollar Tree store on Jan. 31, 2023. Soto had previously worked at the store.
The two men were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. Dongbin Pyon, 38, of East Boston, died from his injuries.
Soto fled the store after the shootings, prosecutors said. His car was found abandoned in Newton several days later.
Soto is charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a firearm without a license, authorities said.
The US Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Soto’s arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (800-527-8873).
