Netflix has a new show dropping this week that looks quite a lot like The Traitors, and there’s one reason why you should be tuning in.
The Traitors has been little short of a global sensation, pulling in huge viewing numbers wherever the reality competition airs.
So it’s no surprise that Netflix has made a clone called Million Dollar Secret, about contestants identifying and eliminating the liar in their midst for a $1 million prize.
But if the similarities put you off, there’s one specific reason to watch Million Dollar Secret, and he hails from Liverpool.

NetflixBritish actor and comedian Peter Serafinowicz is the dapper host of Million Dollar Secret, and he’s a performer who improves pretty much every movie and show that he’s in.
Serafinowicz is probably best known to American audiences as the star of The Tick, or the guy who calls the Guardians of the Galaxy “a bunch of a-holes” and sends them to the Kiln in their first movie.
He also played the Sommelier in John Wick: Chapter 2, and stole scenes in comedies like Couple’s Retreat and Spy.
In the UK Serafinowicz has had a long and storied career on TV, co-creating, co-writing, and co-starring in the brilliant spoof Look Around You, before crafting his own acclaimed sketch series called The Peter Serafinowicz Show.
He’s also part of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright’s ensemble, appearing in Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, The World’s End, and hilarious Grindhouse trailer Don’t.
While Serafinowicz has also had a hugely successful voiceover career, memorably playing Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace, and lending his booming tones to the likes of Rick and Morty, American Dad, Archer, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, South Park, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and What… If?
