Wizz Air is to operate additional flights for fans of the Hungarian national football team to the European Football Championship in Cologne, Germany, reports Világgazdaság.
The airline announced that due to the popularity of the special flight from Budapest to Cologne, Germany on June 15, additional flights have been made available for fans.

fans can travel directly to one of the most exciting sporting events of the year with Wizz Air’s newly added flights.
The company will also operate flights from Budapest and Debrecen (eastern Hungary) to the group matches on June 15, and 19.
Football fans who want to cheer on their national team at one of the matches can buy their tickets via the Wizz Air website and mobile app.
“We have already sold out all tickets for our previously announced Budapest-Cologne flight, hence we are opening another flight on this route for fans,” highlighted Zsuzsa Trubek, Wizz Air Communications Manager.
The Hungarian national football team has qualified for this year’s European Championship in Germany as undefeated group winners. Head coach Marco Rossi’s team will start against the Swiss in Cologne on June 15, and then play the Germans in Stuttgart on June 19, followed by a match against the Scots in the same venue on June 23 in the continental tournament.
The European Championship starts on June 14, and runs for a month, until July 14.
