The Lorain Port and Finance Authority Board of Directors formally welcomed its newest member.
Jacqueline Jakacki was appointed to the port’s Board of Directors by Lorain Mayor Jack Bradley at the May 5 Lorain City Council meeting.
Jakacki officially was sworn in by Lorain Municipal Court Judge Mark Mihok before her first board meeting June 10.
Jakacki is a realtor and team leader for the RE/MAX Above & Beyond real estate company in Lorain.
She also serves as an executive board member for Main Street Lorain, as a committee member for the Cinco de Mayo Parade and as co-chair of the Pets 4 Vets Golf Outing.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jacqueline Jakacki to the Lorain Port and Finance Authority Board of Directors,” said Port Executive Director Tiffany McClelland in the release. “Her extensive experience in real estate, combined with her proven leadership in our community makes her an invaluable addition to our board.
“Jacqueline’s commitment to Lorain and her collaborative approach will be tremendous assets as we continue our mission to drive economic development and growth in our region. We look forward to the fresh perspectives and expertise she will bring to our ongoing initiatives.”
Jakacki’s four-year term continues through May 12, 2029.
