New board member joining in July
The Hartford has announced that Kathleen Winters (pictured) will join its board of directors on July 1. Winters will be a member of both the finance, investment, and risk management committee and the audit committee.
Winters, who began her career at PwC, previously held the position of chief financial officer at Automatic Data Processing where she led transformative initiatives focused on enhancing financial and operational performance. Before her tenure at ADP, she served as CFO for MSCI.
The seasoned finance chief also had various ascending roles at Honeywell International, ultimately becoming the CFO for Performance Materials and Technologies. Additionally, she serves as an independent director on the boards of Global Business Travel Group and Definitive Healthcare Corp.
Christopher Swift, chairman and chief executive of The Hartford, noted: “Having served as CFO for two large, public companies, Kathleen brings a combination of C-suite experience, deep financial expertise, and a focus on business growth and profitability.
“She is a well-regarded leader who has successfully overseen global finance organizations and consistently achieved outstanding performance. We look forward to having Kathleen join the board as we continue to innovate, profitably grow, and deliver long-term value to our shareholders.”
Swift also expressed gratitude to Edmund Reese, who was recently appointed as the next chief financial officer of Aon and stepped down from The Hartford’s board on May 31.
“I want to thank Edmund for his service and contributions to the board and wish him well in his new endeavor,” the CEO said.
