Fundraiser for Abraham House
UTICA, N.Y. — The Abraham House hosted their 3rd annual Fire & Ice fundraiser Saturday evening at 12 North Sports Bar in Utica.
The event featured both indoor and outdoor activities, but unfortunately with the rain, most people chose to stick with the indoor activities.
Those who braved the soggy weather could hang out at the fire pits making s’mores, or take a turn sitting on an ice throne. Inside there was plenty of food, drinks and live entertainment. There was also axe throwing, raffles, and other games.
Abraham House Executive Director Gina Ciaccia says the money raised is all for a good cause.
“Abraham House runs 2 homes. One in Utica, and one in Rome, where we provide residential care giving for those who are end of life and facing terminal illness. We do so without charge. This is our 26th year. Hopefully we’re doing something right, and our families give back to us and pay it forward”.
