GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, emphasized the importance of combating youth vaping in the state.
The Attorney General’s office recently allocated just over $200,000 from the case against Juul to the 21st Judicial District’s Lighthouse Program.
The program provides education and resources to children, youth and families at higher risk of involvement in the justice system.
It offers vaping prevention curriculum, emotional regulation classes and other support.
The program also addresses the youth mental health crisis and encourages parental involvement.
Weiser also urges individuals to use the Safe2Tell anonymous tip line if they know of a child struggling.
