Cruise to Kinnick Stadium this weekend and help raise funds for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
CCKMA (Cancer Can Kiss My …) is hosting its third annual “Cruise to the Wave” to the Children’s Hospital on Saturday, April 6th. Registration is $10 per vehicle or a donation of a new toy for the hospital. Click here and scroll to the “Toys” tab for ideas. All vehicles are welcome to participate – motorcycles, classic cars and even the ones that do the daily commute.
The event starts at 8:30 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast for participants at the Main Event, 3819 State Street in Bettendorf. At 11 a.m., the LeClaire Police Department will escort drivers to Interstate 80, where they will exit at the Iowa City exit and travel to the parking lot at Kinnick Stadium, in front of the Children’s Hospital. Organizers will provide a donation to the hospital before cruising to JB’s Bar & Grill, 1110 N Columbus Street in West Liberty, then Headquarters, 2108 Grandview Avenue in Muscatine and finally ending at Buffalo Boondocks (Judy’s Barge Inn), 600 W. Front Street in Buffalo.
Merchandise will be available for sale, along with a 50/50 drawing, raffle items, live auction items and more at Headquarters, which is donating that day’s proceeds to CCKMA. Organizers expect a record turnout for the event. Click here for more on CCKMA
