The Annual Doctors’ Concert was held in Yep Kanum Park in Colville last Monday, August 5. Dr. Barry Bacon, along with wife, Shelly Bacon, have been organizing this event for 18 years. Their main goal is to bring awareness and financial support to the community. It’s also an invitation for doctors in the community to come together and sing.
In the past, Dr. Bacon and his cohorts have raised awareness and money for causes like: the Tri-County Economic Development District Community Health Fund, New Hope Fund, citizens without health insurance or in need of dental support, and a pilot project in jails to provide treatment for inmates with dependency issues. In the past, the Doctors’ Concert has also included auctions and raffles as well as sold food and CDs. This year, Dr. Bacon said they simplified it by providing details to donate to Patrick’s Place.
