ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Louisiana’s U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy announced on October 22 that new federal funding for pipeline safety is coming to the State of Louisiana, with areas in Central Louisiana receiving a near majority of the funds.
In total, Louisiana is set to receive nearly 13.7 million dollars, with the Cenla receiving nearly 10.3 million of those allocated dollars. These funds stem from a bipartisan bill passed by the federal government in 2021 for the improvement of the United State’s transportation and infrastructure systems.
“This investment from the Infrastructure Law will significantly improve the safety and efficiency of Louisiana’s infrastructure and build our economy for 2050.″
