WILLIAMSPORT — The city of Williamsport has won a reprieve until March 5 to repay the $1.4 million owed the Federal Transit Administration (FTA)
An FTA spokesperson Tuesday told PennLive the request for an extension had been granted but not the reason.
The agency had notified the city on Jan. 8 that it had 30 days to pay a $1,483,706 debt of its River Valley Transit (RVT) or face the imposition of interest and administrative fees.
