The Ohio House of Representatives passed the state’s two-year capital improvement budget for community infrastructure projects across Ohio.
Rep. Gary Click, R-Vickery, voted yes on the legislation, which passed the House June 26 by a vote of 91-5.
Click secured the following capital investments for the 88th House District:
Fremont, Clyde to benefit from bill funds
● $1.35 million to revitalize Fremont’s West State Street downtown area;
● $1,122,177 to Terra State Community College for elevator upgrades, campus roadway repairs, academic learning lab renovations, and roofing replacements;
● $300,000 for improvements to the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library Center in Fremont;
● $150,000 for Fremont’s emergency response water access project;
● $50,000 to create a walking path from Community Park in Clyde to interconnect parks in the surrounding community and the city’s reservoir;
● $150,000 for renovations to Bettsville’s EMS facility.
● $100,000 to continue the improvements to the Robert Peters Park in the City of Bellevue; and
● $93,742 to complete the final phase of renovation for the Attica-Venice Township Joint Cemetery Mausoleum.
Substitute House Bill 2 now awaits a signature from Gov. Mike DeWine.
