Greenfield hosts indoor mini-golf to raise funds for firework festivities

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The City of Greenfield is hosting an indoor mini-golf event on Saturday to prepare for its annual summer firework celebrations.

Greenfield will be hosting several fundraising events over the next few months for this year’s fireworks celebration on July 6th. On Saturday, indoor mini-golf will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Recreation Department’s 20 Sanderson Street office location. Participants can pay $5 per person while children under three can play for free. There will be a food truck available on-site throughout the festivities.

“Each year, our department is tasked with raising approximately $20,000 for our Independence Day Fireworks Celebration. This year, we are getting creative and planning multiple new community events to assist with our goal. We hope you can join us as we work to put the “fun” in this season’s Fireworks fundraising!” says Christy Moore, Recreation Director.

There will be a cornhole tournament on May 5th at 3:00 p.m. at Court Square to also raise funds for the fireworks.
