Hindenburg alleges SEBI chaiperson, husband had stakes in ‘obscure offshore funds’ used in ‘Adani money siphoning’ | Business News

US-based short-seller Hindenburg Research, in what it referred to as new whistleblower documents, alleged Saturday that SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch had stakes in “obscure offshore funds” used in “Adani money siphoning”, news agency PTI reported.

SEBI did not respond immediately to the allegations, according to PTI.

Earlier today, Hindenburg had put out a message for India via a social media post, which said, “Something big soon India”.

The short-seller had put out allegations of stock manipulation and accounting fraud against the Adani Group in January 2023.

The Adani Group, which had dismissed all allegations, witnessed a massive fall in market cap and share prices of its listed companies. It also resulted in the Group calling off AEL’s fully subscribed Rs 20,000 crore FPO.
