Lehigh Valley, Pa. (June 17, 2024) – On June 3, Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) held its 31st annual Golf Classic at Saucon Valley Country Club. This year’s event benefits Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute, the region’s only nationally ranked orthopedic program and the leading provider for joint replacement surgeries and sports medicine procedures.

Three hundred golfers came out for great weather and played all three courses at Saucon Valley Country Club, the host of five upcoming USGA championships. Together, the golfers and 56 event sponsors raised a record-setting $500,000 for the Orthopedic Institute. Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, LVHN President and Chief Executive Officer, took the opportunity to introduce Jefferson CEO Joseph G. Cacchione, MD; the two entities signed a definitive agreement to combine last month. Dr. Nester also thanked everyone in attendance for their generosity and support.

“Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute is proud to be the only nationally recognized program in the region for musculoskeletal care,” said Thomas Graham, MD, Orthopedic Institute Physician in Chief. “Our clinicians bring unparalleled experience and expertise to prevent orthopedic problems, address bone and joint injuries and disorders, and advance your performance in any life pursuit. Your support of today’s event enables us to innovate, study, develop and share the most contemporary solutions. On behalf of our 1,200 Orthopedic Institute members who are dedicated to keeping you moving, thank you.”
