FLORISSANT, Mo. — A former business manager at North County Christian School has been charged with embezzling over $6,000 from the school’s funds.
According to court documents, Joseph Miller, 44, fraudulently obtained funds from the school located at 845 Dunn Rd. in Florissant between February 2023 and November 2023.
Miller allegedly obtained $5,622 from school funds that he was responsible for depositing and additionally withdrew $300 from the NCCS’s account without permission.
Court documents said he also directed an unauthorized purchase of $365 worth of personal items using the school credit card.
In total, Miller allegedly caused $6,288 in losses to the school, and he agreed to reimburse NCCS $3,535 for the funds he failed to deposit.
According to court documents, Miller has not yet reimbursed the school for any missing funds.
Miller has been charged with one count of stealing over $750 or more and two counts of fraudulently using a credit or debit device. Miller is scheduled to appear in court on July 29 for a criminal setting of the case.
