PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The primary discussion in Parkersburg City Council revolved around combining funds into a single account.
The resolution asked approval from the state auditor’s office to consolidate carry over funds into a Parks and Recreation capital projects fund.
Earlier in the month, council approved a bond issuance for $15 Million dollars to begin the new city recreation center project.
The project will also include refurbishing for Fire Station #3 nearby.
The resolution will help with accounting and transparency by combing the two projects under one fund.
In other business, council approved the Mayor’s nomination of Jessica Myers to serve as Municipal Judge for the rest of the year.
Both measures passed unanimously.
