TREMPEALEAU, Wis. (WXOW) – Furry friends at the Trempealeau County Humane Society were hit with an unknown illness last Thursday and are still struggling to make ends meet that is required for care.
Some of the symptoms they are experiencing are bloody vomit, bloody diarrhea, and dehydration.
Unfortunately, two of the dogs have already passed from just that.
Those at the humane society are doing everything they can to continuously provide intensive care, but say they do need some help.
Mike Anderson, President of the Board of Humane Society said, “We’re always looking for more volunteers, more foster homes that if an outbreak does happen again, we can send the healthy dogs off and not have it spread to everything.”
Anderson is also extremely grateful to the community for already contributing so much.
“It’s simply unbelievable how many people stepped up, how many businesses stepped up selling t-shirts to fund donations, raffling off a quilt, and it’s really hard to thank the whole community because there’s so many of you.”
The society is accepting donations via PayPal and Venmo. Those can be found at this link.
