PALMYRA, Neb. (KOLN) – As the sun set on Glacial Till Vineyard Thursday night, dozens of Tyler Goodrich’s loved ones gathered to make sure the light doesn’t go out on the search.
“We just thought this would be a good way to kind of renew that energy to get everybody back together and hopefully some hyper-focus back on the situation,” Rachel Barth, a friend of Goodrich said.
Goodrich disappeared after leaving his home last November. His family and friends exhausted all local leads in their tireless search for him, so they’ve expanded their efforts to the national stage.
That requires more money and time, Barth said, which was the reason behind the “Tunes for Tyler” concert at Glacial Till Vineyard. All proceeds went to helping the search.
It was also a moment of joy, celebrating with a toast and the live band, “The Day Traders.”
“Just enjoy music, which is something he loved, you know, time with friends community,” Barth said.
Over wine and barbecue, those closest to Goodrich remembered the difference his presence made.
“He was just all about, ‘How are you? How was your day?’ Danielle Reynolds, his co-worker, said. “And I miss my friend in that aspect.”
They looked back, fondly, but they also looked ahead to a search they say will continue for as long as it takes.
“Can’t stop, won’t stop,” Nate Wolfgang, Goodrich’s co-worker, said. “Not until we get closure.”
