DELL RAPIDS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Orchard Hills Retirement Community held the third annual Wheels Thru Time car show on Sunday.
From 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the car show was open to the public with free admission and entries. Food was available to purchase as well.
Each year, the money raised goes toward making life better for Orchard Hills residents, including fundraising for a new golf cart and gazebo.
Residents said the event brings back good memories.
“They really come out for the activities. Most of residents are down here looking at the car show. They enjoy coming out of their rooms and being able to get out and sit outside and talk with people, talk with car owners, all the activities. It keeps them active. it keeps them young,” said Orchard Hills employee Mike McKee.
The goal of the event was to raise $5,000.
