CARTHAGE — Eat, drink and raise money for the library. Carthage Free Library recently held a Wine Tasting fundraiser that doubled as a Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event.
Five local vineyards — Coyote Moon, Thousand Islands Winery, Busted Grapes, Otter Creek Winery and Tug Hill Estate — offered samples of wines and had bottles available for purchase. Two vendors — The Morning Ritual and Seams Like Liz — were also on hand to share what they have to offer. The Morning Ritual sells donuts and speciality coffees as well as offering breakfast on the weekends with offerings from The Eatery and now is home to The Scoop ice cream shop. Seams Like Liz offers sewing and alteration as well as sells handmade jewelry.
